The Chequers is located in the village of Barley near Royston.

Here at the Chequers in Barley we offer a traditional pub atmosphere with a warm and friendly welcome. We have a selection of old and new pub games,ie ring the bull, shove ha'penny, darts, dominoes, back gammon and petanque.

The food offered, is traditional pub food, with value for money. Also available is restaurant style dishes for the more discerning diners. The restaurant is small and private. Can seat up to 18 persons on one long table. The bar area seats a further 35 people maximum. We cater for family and friends get togethers, business meetings i.e We have already provided a Business Breakfast club for the Local Business men of Royston , informal or formal we can cater for all. We do buffets or set meals. Walking parties, senior citizens luncheons and much more. Pre orders are much appreciated.

We have a large garden area for outside dining and children to play in. Dogs are welcome, if well behaved.
